Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how SkylatekAI handles your data.
Last updated:
1. Who We Are
SkylatekAI is a multi-model AI chat client operated by Skylatek. Our service is accessible at ai.skylatek.com. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in via Skylatek ID, we receive your user identifier, email address, and display name from our identity provider.
Chat data: We store the conversations you have with AI models, including your prompts and the AI-generated responses, so you can access your history across sessions.
Usage data: We collect anonymised usage statistics such as which models you use and approximate token counts to improve the service.
Technical data: Standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps are retained for security and debugging purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide and maintain the SkylatekAI service, including storing and retrieving your chat history.
To authenticate you securely via Skylatek ID.
To improve the service through aggregated, anonymised usage analysis.
To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
4. AI Model Providers
SkylatekAI routes your prompts to third-party AI providers (including OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, DeepSeek, and Microsoft) to generate responses. Your prompts are transmitted to these providers subject to their own privacy policies and terms of service. We do not sell your prompts to these providers; they are transmitted solely to fulfil your request.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of each AI provider whose model you choose to use.
5. Data Retention
Your chat history is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual conversations or your entire history at any time from within the application. Account deletion requests can be submitted to [email protected].
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the AI model providers necessary to fulfil your requests, and with infrastructure providers (hosting, database) who process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
7. Cookies and Sessions
We use a single signed session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), signed session cookies, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
